Mae Roth has a connection to Hollywood through her mother, award-winning actress Laurie Metcalf, and her father, actor Matt Roth. However, Mae has also explored creative interests of her own, including acting, singing, and musical theater. Her screen credits and 2024 song Here offer a glimpse into her interests beyond her family background.
Who Is Mae Roth?
Mae Roth, also known as Mae Akins Roth in public biographical listings, is an American performer associated with acting and music. She grew up in a family familiar with television, film, and theater, yet she has kept much of her personal life away from public attention.
Her publicly listed work includes appearances connected with the television series The Conners and a credit in the short film Butterface. In May 2024, she also released a song titled “Here.” These projects provide a more specific picture of her creative interests than her family connections alone.
Mae Roth’s Age and Early Background
Mae Roth was born on June 3, 2005, according to publicly available biographical listings. She turned 21 in June 2026. Her childhood coincided with her parents’ careers in entertainment, although detailed accounts of her early years remain limited.
Reports identify John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California, as part of her educational background. The school has a performing arts community, including its well-known Powerhouse show choir. This background offers useful context for Mae’s reported interest in performance, but it does not establish exactly when she began pursuing acting or singing.
Who Are Mae Roth’s Parents?
Her Mother, Laurie Metcalf
Laurie Metcalf is an American actress recognized for her work in television, film, and theater. She became widely known for playing Jackie Harris in Roseanne and later appeared in The Conners. Her career also includes acclaimed stage performances and major film roles.
Because of Metcalf’s long career, public interest often extends to her family. Nevertheless, Mae’s interests deserve attention in their own right. Her music release and acting credits show that she has explored creative work rather than relying solely on her mother’s reputation.
Her Father, Matt Roth
Matt Roth is an actor who appeared alongside Laurie Metcalf on Roseanne. Their professional connection developed into a family relationship, and they later had Mae.
Metcalf and Roth married in 2005 and divorced in 2014. Although both parents have worked in the entertainment industry, they have kept many details about their family life private. As a result, public accounts provide only a partial picture of Mae’s upbringing.
Mae Roth’s Siblings and Family Connections
Mae Roth has three siblings: Zoe Perry, Will Roth, and Donovan Roth. Although they share family connections, each has a different personal background and relationship with the entertainment industry.
Zoe Perry is Mae’s maternal half-sister and the daughter of Laurie Metcalf and actor Jeff Perry. She has developed her own acting career and gained recognition for playing Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon. Her career provides another example of acting experience within Mae’s extended family.
Will Roth and Donovan Roth are Mae’s brothers. Laurie Metcalf and Matt Roth fostered Donovan before adopting him. According to People’s report on Laurie Metcalf’s children, Mae’s family background also includes her siblings and educational history.
Where Did Mae Roth Study?
Public reports identify John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California, as Mae’s former school. She reportedly graduated in 2023. The school has a strong performing arts tradition, including its Powerhouse show choir, which combines singing, choreography, and stage performance.
Reports have also linked Mae to musical theater studies at Marymount Manhattan College in New York. However, available public information does not clearly establish her current enrollment or graduation status. Therefore, it is better to distinguish reported educational details from confirmed updates about her present studies.
Mae Roth’s Interest in Musical Theater
Musical theater brings together several performance skills, including acting, singing, and movement. Mae’s reported educational interests and her later music release suggest that singing and performance have both played a role in her creative development.
Her 2024 song “Here” gives readers a specific example of her work as a singer. However, one release alone does not establish the size of her music career. There is not enough reliable public information to describe her as an established recording artist with a large catalog or a confirmed record deal.
Has Mae Roth Pursued Acting or Music Professionally?
Mae has explored both screen acting and music. Her publicly listed credits include the short film Butterface, released in 2023, and appearances associated with the television series The Conners. Some listings describe small parts or background appearances, so these credits should not be presented as major roles.
Music provides another part of her creative profile. Mae released “Here” in May 2024, giving her a documented music release alongside her acting credits. Nevertheless, reliable public information about additional singles, albums, live performances, or upcoming screen projects remains limited.
Taken together, these projects show that Mae has tried more than one form of performance. Her long-term career direction, however, remains unclear from the available public record. Future releases or confirmed acting roles would provide a stronger basis for assessing how her work develops.
Mae Roth’s Relationship With Her Famous Family
Mae Roth’s family connects her to several recognizable figures in American television. Her mother, Laurie Metcalf, has built a long career across television, film, and theater, while her half-sister Zoe Perry has earned recognition for her own acting performances.
However, family connections do not automatically define Mae’s professional future. Her own acting credits and music release provide a more direct view of her creative interests. Although public curiosity often focuses on celebrity families, Mae’s individual projects deserve attention without assuming that she will follow the same career path as her relatives.
What Is Known About Mae Roth’s Personal Life?
Mae Roth keeps much of her personal life out of the public eye. Most available information concerns her family background, reported education, and creative activities rather than her private relationships or daily routine.
For example, reliable public information does not establish whether she currently has a partner. Details about her friendships, lifestyle, and future plans also remain largely private. Keeping these distinctions clear helps separate confirmed information from online speculation.
What Is Mae Roth’s Net Worth?
Mae Roth’s net worth has not been reliably confirmed by credible public sources. Her acting credits and music release demonstrate creative activity, but they do not reveal her total earnings, assets, or financial arrangements.
Online estimates can appear precise without explaining how the figures were calculated. Therefore, assigning Mae a specific net worth would be misleading without dependable financial reporting or other verifiable evidence.
Where Is Mae Roth Today?
Mae’s publicly listed work includes appearances associated with The Conners, a credit in Butterface, and her 2024 song “Here.” Together, these projects show her interest in both screen performance and music.
Her current career plans remain unclear from the available public record. Likewise, there is insufficient confirmed information to state whether she is working on a new song, pursuing additional acting roles, or continuing formal studies. Reliable announcements and updated professional credits would offer a clearer picture of her next steps.
